The Arizona Diamondbacks are currently struggling a little bit, having lost five consecutive games.
However, they remain right in the thick of the pennant race as the trade deadline looms.
One major bright spot this year for the team has been the emergence of outfielder and Rookie of the Year candidate Corbin Carroll.
Carroll possess several valuable tools that make him a truly dynamic player.
He can hit for contact and power, play solid defense, and run the bases extremely well.
Carroll’s speed is the most unique aspect of his game.
In fact, he is on pace to finish the season with 34 home runs and 47 stolen bases.
On Twitter, MLB posted a graphic featuring some of the stats Carroll is on pace to finish with.

Carroll truly is a special player and is somebody that the D-Backs value very highly.
This is a team that wasn’t expected to compete for a spot in the postseason, but has outperformed expectations.
Carroll is a major reason for that, and he has provided this young team with an incredible spark.
The 22-year-old outfielder and speedster is hitting .280 with 21 home runs, 55 RBI, an OPS of .901, and 29 stolen bases.
He’s certainly well on his way to potentially finishing the season with some very impressive stats.
But finishing as a member of the 30-30 club would be a major accomplishment for Carroll as he looks to lead this young Diamondbacks team into the future.
Arizona is 54-47 on the season, and Carroll has been one of the most exciting players to watch in all of baseball.
